EastWest Microneedling

In 2013, Dr. Mitchell Schwartz saw the potential for skin rejuvenation through microneedling- a technique that took tiny needles to cause micro-injury to the skin, triggering the skins natural healing response. However, the early days of microneedling were filled with challenges.

There were significant flaws, including the control over the injury, the depth of penetration, and especially the design of the devices, which were nothing more than altered tattoo machines. These devices had a narrow diameter, and although areas of the body such as stomach's with stretchmarks responded well to these microneedling treatments- it could take hours to effectively treat such large surface areas.
Dr. Schwartz knew there had to be a better way- and with a little ingenuity and some help from his sons, the first generation of Procell Therapies' device was born.

This device looked very different from it's pen-like predecessors. One of the key differences though was the ability to attach tips with variations of sizes and depths of the micro-needles. (or micro-filaments for the tips that do not penetrate into living tissue)

Enhanced design, Superior Treatment Experience...

The largest of the tips, the size of a half dollar, was engineered to effectively treat large surface areas of the body in little time. This was an industry first for the microchanneling/microneedling industry.

This innovative approach of a wider micro-tip addresses one of the primary challenges of traditional microneedling: the time-consuming process required to treat extensive areas like the abdomen, thighs, and back, which are commonly affected by stretch marks and other skin concerns.

The larger tips reduce treatment time dramatically, making it feasible to offer more extensive care without compromising patient comfort. For practitioners, this means being able to serve more clients effectively within the same time frames, enhancing overall productivity.

Skin concerns on the body suitable for Microchanneling

A common concern on the skin that affects the whole body is stretch marks, a condition where the body's fluctuations in size outpace the skin's ability to regenerate, causing irregularities of the skin with the appearance of "streaks" across it. As we age, our natural supply of stem cells that are responsible for instructing the skin to heal itself significantly decline.

The older a person gets, the slower their skin recovers from damage, resulting in an increased risk to develop stretch marks. This is why therapeutic interventions such as microchanneling, especially when they are paired with the "missing link" of stem cell growth factors and cytokines, are such an effective treatment option for stretch marks.
